AbstractWhen the smart embedded devices are massively applied in business and industry domain, many application and services will emerge in a new Internet of Things ecosystem. This initiates new business opportunities to build novel application and services, which efficiently integrate IoT services into business applications. Since the IoT takes the reference scenarios one step further in terms of scale and offered features, it requires the development of suitable, scalable and availability service delivery platforms that permit multiple services to coexist between IoT and 3rd service providers. However, service delivery over IoT infrastructures is a hard challenge requiring specific new architectures and mechanism. This paper proposes system architecture of hybrid service delivery that enables 3rd service providers to efficiently create, deploy, execute, orchestrate and manage running instances of IoT services. In particular, this work focus on the design and implementation of  agent-based hybrid service exposure, hybrid service ontology engine crawler, service enablers container, service-oriented agent lifecycle management, and agent-mediated service lifecycle coordinator for the messages dispatching and transformation between hybrid service exposure and service enablers container. More specifically, with smart home scenarios, experiment results show that agent-based service delivery approaches can successfully cooperate between Internet of Things and 3rd service providers.
