Other AbstractThe emergence and dissipation of queue before saturated intersection in urban traffic network is analyzed. A dynamic variational inequality assignment model in saturated urban traffic network is proposed based on a boundary equilibrium concept. This concept is used to deal the saturated signalized intersections as bottlenecks based on saturated flow and green split to simplify the calculation of queuing delay. In this model, the flow propagation constraint, FIFO constraint, link capacity constraint and the physical queue are considered. Finally, a solution algorithm is proposed and the efficiency of the model and algorithm is demonstrated through an example calculation.
