AbstractWe present a novel and fast co nvergent Snake model based on the distance transform.By the method , w e find the points in the disconvergent area based on the property of ex ternal fo rces in the concavity ; Secondly , w e modify the direction and m agnitude of the ex ternal fo rces at these points to make the convergence fast.Our algorithm is better than the GVF algo rithm in terms of convergence speed and the result for deep boundary concavities.Besides , our model can be also ex tended to Snake model based on GVF.
