Safety is the eternal theme of aviation companies. Maintenance is the important guarantee of aviation safety. The maintenance of airplanes is a high-tech work, and scientific management of maintenance tools help to improve maintenance efficiency and reliability. This paper tries to design and implement a RFID-based intelligent tools management system to ensure the scientific management of maintenance tools. The structure of intelligent tool car is optimized according to the characteristics of enclosed metallic environment. Then RFID system is embedded into the structure. Due to the uniqueness of RFID tag, the information of tools can be identified to manage. Experimental results show the system can operate stability and reliability in the complex electromagnetic enclosed metallic environment.
