摘要三维显示是显示领域的发展方向,是21世纪信息领域内的一个亮点,而真三维显示技术更是显示领域的一场革命。在真三维显示领域,各国都在竞相占领技术和市场的最高点,对我国来说既是机遇又是挑战。在现有最接近商业化应用的体元式真三维显示系统中,其核心技术是空间光调制器(SLM)。DMD(Digital Micro-mirror Device,数字微镜)属于反射式SLM,是一种微机电系统(MEMS),被广泛应用于数字光处理(DLP)、3D测量、超声波光线疗法、近红外动态景象仿真、硅模版刻印机、生物芯片制造等领域中。由于DMD帧频高、对比度高、性能优异、稳定可靠等特点,比较适合作为真三维显示的空间光调制器。所谓DMD引擎(DMD Engine)就是以DMD为驱动(控制)对象,具备驱动性、完整性和独立性的集成化工具开发包。真三维显示要求对海量数据进行实时处理,我国在具有高速投影、精确控制的DMD引擎研究和开发方面尚属空白。此外,在嵌入式、移动、手持等新兴显示领域,也存在着对高端DMD引擎技术研究和产业化的创新机遇。本文研究一种基于DMD的高速高精度、可重构、嵌入式的真三维成像引擎。这种引擎具有完全自主知识产权,经工程实践验证,性能优异,使用方便灵活,能够很好的满足新兴市场对高端DMD引擎的需求。 本论文的主要工作和创新点有: 1. 针对真三维显示要对海量数据实时处理的特点,提出以DMD作为三维空间光调制器,运用可重构计算中的多种方法加速计算,并研制了相关样机。 2.针对三维显示及嵌入式投影市场,在国内首次开发出具有完全自主知识产权的基于DMD芯片组的,具有可编程、可重构、可裁剪的嵌入式成像引擎硬件系统开发平台(DMD Engine)。此开发平台以DMD芯片组和高端FPGA为基础,采用18层高速高密度PCB设计,接口丰富,能够进行高速计算、精确控制,达到了国际先进水平,与国外主流公司的产品形成竞争力。 3. 针对真三维显示,提出了一种视频编解码方法,这种方法基于数字视频接口DVI+SRAM,能将传统的投影速度提高24倍,并设计了相关IP核。 4.针对三维显示、图像处理、通信等领域,在DMD Engine 开发平台上,开发了相关应用示例(demo)。这些示例基于多种自主开发的IP核,经测试这些IP核性能优异、占用资源少、运行稳定可靠。
其他摘要Three-dimension (3D) display is the direction in the field of display and the focus in the information field, while true 3D display is a revolution in the area of 3D display. During the development of true 3D display, many countries all over the world are struggling to reach the highest position in this field and in the market. It is an opportunity and challenge for our country. Volumetric 3D display is the most likely to be used in the commercial application. Spatial light modulator (SLM) is one key technology of volumetric 3D display. Digital Micromirror Device (DMD), one type of Micro Electro-Mechanical system (MEMS), is one of the reflect SLM. DMD is widely used in digital light processing (DLP), 3D measurement, Ultrasound light therapy, near infrared dynamic scene simulator, silicon corrosion Printer, biochip and so on. DMD is a very suitable SLM for true 3D display because of its high frame rate, high contrast, excellent performance, stability etc. DMD Engine is defined as an integrated development kit with the capability of driving, integrality and independence. True 3D display demands to process massive data in a real-time manner. However, domestically, there is not enough research and development of DMD engine with high-speed projector and precision control. Except for 3D display, other applications such as imbedded projector, mobile and handheld projector also require high-end DMD engine. Therefore it is a new opportunity to study and industrialize the DMD engine. This paper focuses on the research of a reconfigurable and imbedded DMD engine with the characters of high-speed, high precision for true 3D display application. Because this engine owns intelligent property, feasible to use and has excellent performance approved by engineering experiment, it can satisfy the demands of the new formed market. The main contributions and creativities are as follows: 1. According to the character of true 3D display system to deal with massive data in a real-time manner, this paper proposes a prototype adopting DMD as the SLM of true 3D display and using various reconfigurable computing methods to accelerate the processing and meantime realize the prototype. 2. As to the 3D display and imbedded projector market, this paper produces a programmable, reconfigurable and tailorable imbedded DMD engine, which is based on DMD chipset and high-end FPGA .The DMD Engine is the first one in the country and owns intelligent property.
