There are many austere challenges in the market economy. The base of success is to acquire the information and use it scientifically. IDSS is the integration of DSS and ES. Not only can it improve the efficiency of decision, also it can enhance the abilities of collection, analysis and management. It has been one of the effectual means of Success. The research background of this dissertation is Sales Management System, which is one of the subsystems of the National "Key-95" project---Research and Exemplifying Project of Key Integration Automation Technologies in Steel Industry. The dissertation is based on the research of theoretical and actual problems encountered in the process of developing the archetypal system of Sales Management IDSS. There are three main parts: 1, The research of IDSS. It emphasizes on the research of theory and integrating structure of IDSS. Based on DSS, IDSS is the combination of DSS and ES. Integration Three Bases is the reasonable structure of DSS. 2, Theoretical analysis of application of IDSS in Sales Management. Sales Management IDSS mainly includes three modules: Technique Feasibility Analysis of Order, Optimal Due Date and Reasonable Price. 3, The development of archetypal system of Sales Management IDSS. It includes the design of interface and other decision support modules. In the design of embedded ES, I put forward the innovation ideas in the classification of Concept Base and decomposition of Statement. Concept Base includes Basic Concept Base and Extensible Concept Base. And Statement can be broken down as a tree.
