AbstractRegion P2P networks (called RP2P), based on Chord protocol, are constructed by regions, but not the whole Internet as previous work. Nodes' joining and leaving, lookups and content forward algorithms are presented. To analyze the performance of the RP2P networks and study the dynamic content distribution process between RP2P networks, the stochastic fluid models as an important fluid-flow analytical model are adopted. The final results we got are as follows: the total number of RP2P networks has a more impact on the get probability of downloading content than the total number of nodes; and the content get probability will tend to be a stable value with the increase of nodes' number. These results demonstrate that the method of constructing RP2P networks is better than those of building the universal P2P network.
