Detect image tamper by semi-fragile digital watermarking

AbstractTo authenticate the integrity of image while resisting some valid image processing such as JPEG compression, a semi-fragile image watermarking is described. Image name, one of the image features, has been used as the key of pseudo-random function to generate the special watermarks for the different image. Watermarks are embedded by changing the relationship between the blocks' DCT DC coefficients, and the image tamper are detected with the relationship of these DCT DC coefficients. Experimental results show that the proposed technique can resist JPEG compression, and detect image tamper in the meantime.
